From a young age, I have been surrounded by beautiful handcrafted clothes, in rich colours and textures. I watched my mother select clothes with quality of fabric and craftmanship in mind. She knew that those two factors alone decides on the longevity of a piece of garment. That is where and how I still choose my fashion, by looking at the fabric and craftsmanship.
My love for fashion, especially those that involve artisans and are handmade, was the catalyst from which Zaiane was borne. Fed up of synthetic and mix materials that were everywhere, I thought of designing a line that used high quality fabrics. I found craftsmen to then elevate the designs with their expertise to create something that is timeless as well as versatile.
In todays world; fashion is fast, easy, but not sustainable. Where luxury was once based on the usage of rich materials like silks, linens, and cottons – now it is all about which logo is emblazoned where. Zaiane aims to bring back that feeling of luxury by using high quality fabrics that we hope can eventually be heirlooms. We also aim to bring back the art of craftsmanship while supporting artisans

Zaiane was born in the hopes that each garment tells a story about it’s heritage. From being raised as a Malaysian Pakistani, to the love of artistry and craftmanship; we hope to achieve a balance that is both beautiful as well as luxurious in its selection of fabrics.
